The Tutoring Club (4).png

The Tutoring Club @ Deerbrook is an initiative that was established in the fall of 2021 and is a partnership with Deerbrook Covenant Church. The purpose of The Tutoring Club @ Deerbrook is to invest in the lives of Lee’s Summit youth, their families and the community. As a Partner in Ed with Meadow Lane Elementary School, Deerbrook has the heart & resources for this program.

The Club serves students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. While we know that 6th graders in the Lee's Summit School District are now in Middle School, the decision was made to continue to include 6th grade in programming as they might need extra support through that transition. We will open registration for the 2023-2024 school year in mid-August. Every effort will be made to match students who are registered, but please note that registration does not guarantee placement. For students in grades 7-12 who are looking or additional academic help, we suggest checking out these other local services offered.

The Tutoring Club will run on Mondays and Tuesdays. Volunteers and students will be matched for a 1 hour time slot on Mondays or Tuesdays between 4:00 and 6:30 pm. It is expected that students who register for the program are committed to attending The Tutoring Club for the duration of the club year.
