Proposed Changes to Deerbrook’s Constitution & Bylaws
In order to bring our leadership practices in line with our church governing documents, the Deacon Council recommends changes be made to our Constitution & Bylaws through the normal process as defined by the documents.
Any changes are approved by members of the congregation with a two-thirds majority.
CONSTITUTION changes may be submitted at one Annual Meeting and voted on at the following Annual Meeting.
BYLAWS changed may be submitted at a Congregation Meeting & voted on at another Congregational Meeting 60 days later.
We ask members of the congregation to:
1) Review the proposed changes to Deerbrook’s Constitution & Bylaws. These important documents describe & govern the organization of our church.
2) Attend our Congregational Meeting on April 26 for discussion and the beginning of the voting process.
3) Please send questions to office@deerbrook.church, so we can address any concerns ahead of the April 26 congregational meeting.
A display and copies of the proposed updates are also available in the Worship Center.
