We are hiring: Transitional Children’s Ministry Director

POSITION PURPOSE

To teach and mentor the children of Deerbrook Covenant Church to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Build relationships to equip and encourage all involved in children’s ministry. The director will exemplify a personal relationship with Christ which will encourage others to grow in their spiritual lives.

CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR RELATIONSHIPS

• Teach and mentor children with a kind heart introducing them to a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

• Support and equip parents to play active roles in this development.  Join our community of believers.

• Promote and encourage volunteers within the children’s ministry and build relationships with parents.

• Work with the pastoral staff and church leadership to carry out the goals of Deerbrook Covenant Church.

• Report directly to the Senior Pastor.

TERMS

20-32 hours weekly (depending upon availability), 6-12 months term, possibility of applying for a permanent position, PTO available, start date Summer 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit and manage volunteers while creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and teamwork.

• Create an environment that engages the faith of kids at their developmental stages.

• Coordinate and schedule all children’s ministry activities for Sunday mornings.

• Oversee the selection and purchase of modern curriculum for children.  

• Provide volunteers with the necessary resources and lesson plans.
